Hello! I have installed an old 486 machine as a firewall in my network. The machine is connected to a cable modem. The machine gets the ip-number from the cable with DHCP and then gives out a local ip on the other ethernet card with DHCPD. This works great and have done for months. The problem is that I have added the firewals 1.4 package and can not make it work. I have opened ports 67 and 68 UDP in rc.firewall to get the DHCP info from the DHCP server, but I get the following message in the syslog. Jan 17 18:15:55 gate dhclient: DHCPDISCOVER on eth0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 12 Jan 17 Jan 17 18:16:56 gate dhclient: DHCPDISCOVER on eth0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 4 "repeated a couple of times" 18:16:56 gate dhclient: No DHCPOFFERS received. Jan 17 18:16:56 gate dhclient: No working leases in persistent database - sleeping. If I shut down the firewall, everything gets trough. Have I missed some ports? Any newer versions of firewals than 1.4?
