Hi, I'm trying to get an alternative to X and Netscape for my mail, although it works great. I need something that is as simple as netscape for a user to use, independently of sendmail and fetchmail, just as Netscape does. In other words, the user's mail is kept and sent from the user's home directory, and can be run in text mode. Also it must be able to reply to emails and create emails while offline. This is to run on surplus laptop, that can't handle X. I've looked at pmail, and it seems to do what I want , but I don't know how to get Pine to deposit outgoing mail in pmail's outbox. Pine seems to want to be in an online mode when you send an email. Before I start looking at all the packages out there, I would like to hear what packages are giving good success. Thanks. - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
