Seems like OpenVPN does not support connecting via PPTP. The VPN I am trying to connect to the one in the office and they are set up to use PPTP. -H On 9/8/05, James Knott <james.knott@rogers.com> wrote:

Hi
I am using PPTP Client to connect to a VPN. I have followed the instruction for SuSE 9.2 as shown in http://pptpclient.sourceforge.net/howto-suse-92.phtml
There are certain differences in setting up the firewall. So I used YAST to turn the firewall at boot time yet it seams that the firewall might be turning??? when I establish the PPTP tunnel. At the moment I can connect to VPN but I cannot ping anything and I get network unreachable.
Any suggestions? Has anyone succesfully connected to a VPN?
I use OpenVPN between my notebook and home network. Works fine.
