I have 2 banks in the US I have accounts with. Neither require anything I can't easily type or click. When they see I'm coming from a new IP (or cookie), they just ask a security question. But they do that often enough that someone monitoring the encrypted traffic in/out of the bank would see a session with my login/password/security answer within a few weeks.
