Hi: I have Suse 9.1 and VMware Workstation 4.5.1. Things appeared to go well with the installation and execution of the vmware-config.pl script, until it got to the point of attempting to set up a samba username and passwd, which generated the following error (and which also happens if I try to use the manual config tools for the VMware Samba server): mango2:/etc/vmware # vmware-smbpasswd vmnet1 crcarle /usr/bin/vmware-smbpasswd.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libpopt.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I suppose this is a result of having the Samba 3.0 from Suse but VMware is likely based on 2.x. I installed all of the available Suse 9.1 samba related packages, but to no avail. Any idea how to deal with this problem? Thanks. -- ____________________________________ Christopher R.
