I have read various bits of information on this subject but have not found an answer. Where can I find a mod_ssl for SuSE 8.1 Apache2. All the docs say that it is included in the base distribution of Apache2. However if I
the contents of the rpm on my system (apache2-2.0.48-126) it is not shown! If I include any ssl configuration commands in my apache2 setup (e.g. SSLEngine on) then I get an error saying that the module is not loaded, therefore it is not permanently linked into the apache2 base. The only separate rpms I can find for mod_ssl are for apache1 which has a different module API. I can see from other messages that other people have got
I'm not sure for SuSe 8.1 but for SuSe 9 you can see in
/etc/sysconfig/apache2 that mod_ssl is in the included modules
Also, In /etc/sysconfig/apache2 you need to put:
APACHE_SERVER_FLAGS="-D SSL"
But that's for SuSe9.0
