Writing & Reading Chinese Character.

I wonder if someone can point me out how to read & write chinese in SuSE. I already change the KDE language to chinese, but can't read a things. I believe this is font isue, but I don't know which font support chinese. I haven't do research for chinese input method for Linux. Please enlighten me where should I start for this. I'm running SuSE 7.3 Pro. thanks.
