Ok....so I admit it. I'm deaf and dumb in both eyes. I know it's "there," but I can't find it! Where is the option and in what file to turn on or off su to root?
same dubness here too. What do you want to do, Fred? If you want to "su" to "root" from "fred" type "su" and enter. give the password and that's it. Otherwise "su username" will quote for a password, unless you're root. See, it's so obvious easy, I must be misunderstanding your question.
