[S.u.S.E. Linux] ACM Flight Simulator and S.u.S.E.

Hi all- I was trying to compile the ACM flight sim, when the configure script bailed and informed me that my system did not support "rand" or "random". Are these part of the C libraries or some other randome number generator thing? A random number generator starts at boot. I was alos told by somewone on another list that random is a daemon whose purpose eluded the messenger. Any ideas? Anybody here ever try to get ACM to work?
