I stand by my suspicion, this is a driver problem somewhere, either the lack of a driver or messed up parameters. The fact that YaST shows the sound as "Not Configured" is a tell. I don't have any new Intel hardware to check (I like my old HP laptops too :), so Masaru or somebody else that knows that driver will have to help further. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
