For those who may not know it yet, I discovered this morning that the Taskbar in KDE4.1x can be made to Autohide, just like previously in KDE3. Luvly! (I don't know when this came into affect.) Just right-click on the Taskbar, select Panel Settings and then select More Settings. One thing, the Always Visible option always shows up with a red tick even if you select Autohide so ignore this little idiosyncrasy, select Autohide and save the new setting.
