These are not exactly the best cards to be running X on at all. I have a Diamond Stealth 64 for my router box, but I don't use X and the text console works just fine. An inexpensive ($30-$100 USD) PCI card would be an ATI Rage Pro, an Nvidia TNT2 M64 or Riva 128, or a 3Dfx Voodoo 3. Most of these cards are available with 4MB, 8MB, or 16MB of memory. I think all of these are supported by the X SVGA server, and you can find specific X server files that can activate more advance features. Christopher Reimer
