Only for testing: i have tested a live update from 11.4 to 12.3....result? Strange, 12.3 starts with systemV, and not systemD, and naturally the network don't startup automatically. Removing from yast systemvinit, it automatically installs systemd, and network starts correctly.
Other test: updated 11.4 to 12.3 from DVD, and the update is perfect! No problems at all.
Brave soul :-D , I'm glad that even an scenario that was most likely never tested, worked more or less fine... there is a very long way between 11.4 and 12.3 ..
Yes but not between 11.4 and 12.0 --> 12.1 --> 12.2 --> 12.3.
