OpenSuSE 11.2 on AMD 64bit CPU.
This system is giving me fits with the Grub boot loader. When I did the complete install I used a complete HD, leaving the functioing 10.3 installation on another HD, and selected the defaulrt Grub settings.
You can not boot 11.2 with 10.3 grub, it does not support ext4. You have to install 11.2 grub on 10.3, or define the 11.2 disk as the boot disk in bios.
The first failure to boot gave me the following error statements:
GRUB loading error 17
and hung.
Normal:
17 : Cannot mount selected partition This error is returned if the partition requested exists, but the filesystem type cannot be recognized by GRUB.
