Hi, Thanks for generating a 20 email thread and 0 bugzilla entries... I just submitted a revert update for ucode-intel, so zypper -f is not needed. My original hope that Intel would be quick to release new firmware, but that has not manifested. Ciao, Marcus On Sat, Feb 17, 2018 at 08:38:47PM +0000, Dave Howorth wrote:
Hmm ...
So I tried looking for packages no longer available that are on my system. One I just found worries me:
ucode-intel - Microcode Updates for Intel x86/x86-64 CPUs I have 20180108-16.1-x86_64 from vendor openSUSE
but what I see is the latest available is 20170707-10.1-x86_64 from openSUSE-Leap-42.3-update
(and yet again, I'm severely annoyed that YaST won't let me cut and paste text!!!! GRR)
but what I'm worried about is what is the correct version to have? And why hasn't YaST given me the correct version, and/or indicated that I do have the correct version?
