That is far too much work. Next time when you want to make a global change simply add the line to /etc/profile. export MOZILLA_HOME=/opt/netscape when added to /etc/profile will affect every user. Adding the line to bashrc only makes sense on a multiuser system where the other users are accessing netscape from a different location, like /usr/local/netscape, which doesn't make sense anyway, but you follow the logic.
