I use Fedora Core 4 with Scalix 10.0 and it works great. My advice is if you use it, it will work on SUSE 10.0 I had it working you just have to change a config file and tack OSS at the end of it in SUSE. Its in /etc and I forgot the config filename, but it works great. It will support Outlook just fine, Outlook express works fine with it I have multiple email accounts set up with it. The trick is you have to use the name you gave it, e.g. first name space last name, then provide the password, and tinker with the security settings in outlook. The web interface looks like outlook, and you get 25 PREMIUM accounts free, check out their forums for info. As for Zimbra, I never could get that working after printing a HUGE book and following everything to the T. It is extremely difficult and the support is really bad compared to Scalix. Your better off just duplex printing the entire Scalix manual and installing it and follow the instructions very very carefully. If you cannot get it working under SUSE 10.1, then use SUSE 10.0. As I stated earlier, the Operating System variable in tricking Scalix into thinking SUSE 10.0 is SUSE OSS and not SUSE 10.0 or it just won't install, if all else fails it will install under FC4 or FC5 just fine. Good luck!! Anybody have experience installing Scalix or Zimbra on OSS10? Any good howto?
Nope, but what's wrong with squirrelmail? East to install, well supported, works well. Sorry I couldn't help!
1. Does not support Outlook, no TNEF 2. Look has to be closer to MS Outlook 3. Shared address books, calendars... 4. What's what they are used to.
