A while ago, I opened bug #836235 with your esteemed support people, and have been in a dialog with them. I don’t mean this as anything personal, but I believe that the resolution is not correct, and I am concerned that a patch that does absolutely nothing and does not solve the issue is going to get committed into the distribution. I won’t go into a rehash of the conversation on the bug, but I would like it if someone could please take a look over the bug and code (a “second opinion”, if you will) and let me know if I’m full of it – in which case I’ll drop the issue, or if my concerns are valid, can help me to make sure the correct patch is applied to the code? We have a policy at my workplace (see below) that unpackaged software cannot be deployed – and we prefer for the deployed packages to be present in the opensuse repositories – so I have a strong vested interest in making sure that the correct patch is applied. Thanks for your help. ☺ --Russell Russell Miller Sysadmin – OTC <redacted>@intel.com
