You are probably wasting effort here, because these packages that you are fretting about don't take any significant amount of disk space, and their presence costs you nothing. Simply installing gtstreamer packages doesn't pull in that much of gnome anyway. Trying to root out any un-used configuration files is also probably not worth the effort. Many times the update process will put new configuration files in with an additional extension (.rpmnew) but leave your existing one in place and in use. I suppose you could purge these, but they don't harm you and might be useful in the future.
