Any mysql-guru's around here? I was wondering if anybody knows wether mysql is IPv6 aware. Been searching the docu's on the mysql-lists, and all i found were simular questions, no answers. (just some hints about replicating) Allthough there seems to be a specific patch for 4-0.18 (ancient) (http://www.ngn.euro6ix.org/IPv6/mysql/ ) around, when playing with nmap or netstat, mysql seems to be only listening on IPv4:3306. Manuals for 5.0, 5.1 or 6.0 doesn't mention it at all. Apache, openssh, openldap and postfix are IPv6 "out-of-the-box" So either: a) it's completely transparant to any IP-version, but needs to switched on during startup (undocumented parameter) b) it's a (yet) unused compile-time option c) it's not supported Yeah, i know about "read the source, Luke", but if someone allready know's the status about this subject, it would save a lot of time... hw -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
