Using the CD/DVD method you describe, would I need to downgrade anything first, or add additional repositories for the "upgrade"?
Of, just use the defaults on the installer DVD?
Using the installer DVD you don't need to change anything, because it uses (will use, it is not released yet) the new repos for 11.0 and ignore the existing repos you may have configured (Smart configuration is also ignored). I think that old repos are left in the configuration renamed to something like old or deactivated or something, I don't remember the details. One warning: with upgrades you should always do a full backup. Thus, if things go bad you can restore your previously working system, retry, or install fresh. It is also a good idea for fresh installs, of course. Always, that is. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
