Where is the non git version available? I wound up with it by searching on amarok repository opensuse 15.1, which provided this: https://software.opensuse.org/download.html?project=KDE%3AExtra&package=am arok http://software.opensuse.org/search https://software.opensuse.org/package/amarok?search_term=amarok
but the git version is usually fine and newer/more up-to-date than the general distro version. but may contain small problems. relate git version to development version.
Yes, and in this case the git version is based on KDE Frameworks 5.58, whereas version 2.9.0 in the Main repo is still based on KDE 4.14, and will be dropped with support for KDE4 libraries (recently being discussed on the Factory list).
Sure. But that is of no consequence for Leap. At that point, the entire Leap will have to switch. Hopefully that should happen at the release of 15.2 or 15.3, so be thoroughly tested. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.0 x86_64 at Telcontar)
