Downgrades are typically fine and shouldn't be worried about - packages, and upstreams repeatedly change their version numbering and zypper will recognise that as a 'downgrade' when the number decreases, even if in reality it's a later version.
I knew that from the Xorg case. But here it was a change back in release numbers, e.g., from 2.36.6-4.1 to 2.36.6-3.1 Plus, I had aborted the update to write the mail, then started it again - and now zypper couldn't find the old package on the server either. So I wonder if this might be a race condition with metadata coming from one mirror and package data from another one, when they are not (yet) in sync? I ran zypper ref again (i.e., only a few minutes later), and get a quite different list of updates now (though the downgrades are still in) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
