Make sure your device is listed in /etc/usb_modeswitch.conf
I searched the forums of the usb_modeswitch project and found some pointers. Got the MessageContent value to set, but it complained about the message endpoint, so I took a chance and started with 0x01. It worked! This the entry in /etc/usb_modeswitch.conf: ######################################################## # Huawei K3765 DefaultVendor= 0x12d1 DefaultProduct= 0x1520 TargetVendor= 0x12d1 TargetProduct=0x1465 MessageEndpoint=0x01 MessageContent="55534243000000000000000000000011060000000000000000000000000000" I still need to run usb_modeswitch manually, but that is something I can figure out later. Hope this can help someone else too.
