plasma: Recent Files / Applications not updated

Hi *, for some time now Recent Files / Applications in the Application Menu are not updated any longer. The appropriate desktop files exist in ./.local/share/RecentDocuments, but Recent Files in the menu stays empty. Workspace -> Recent Files is set to "Keep history: Forever" and "For all applications". Latest Tumbleweed Snapshot. Any idea? TIA. Bye. Michael.
