Hi .
Opensuse 11.1 x86_64 KDE4.2 update if i attempt to edit the addressbook then exit it it causes KDE to lock up solid and kill the keyboard i have to ssh in from another machine ot reagin control of the machine then once i restart KDE i find that all the work i had done in addressbook is lost , I am not seeing any reports anywhere of problems so can offer no more info unless someone can tell me what and how to get .. this is sort of mighty anoying as i have a lot of records in the addressbook that was perfect on 10.3 with KDE 3.5.x
I can't reproduce, it works fine here. The "kill the keyboard" I find interesting. Can you do anything at all with it? If you press the caps lock key, does the LED work? If you press ctrl-alt- F1, do you get a text login? Are you sure it's not that there is a popup window somewhere in the background that steals the input? There is a slight annoyance that popups, even those that demand attention by stealing the focus, are sometimes displayed in apparently random locations, including on other virtual desktops. Could this be it? If you kill kaddressbook before it has had a chance to save its work, then clearly this work will be lost. That is not a bug. Have you tried clicking "save" before exiting the application? Anders -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
