Firewalls are always important when connected to the Internet. Regardless the same principles apply whether IPv4 or IPv6. However, John Anderson seems to confuse the firewall function with the NAT function. They are not the same thing as they have different purposes. One is a necessary function for network security, the other is a hack to get around the address shortage.
