I'm newbie to OpenSUSE10.3 (KDE), After installing
Thunderbird, and I have checked the properties of
Ðана ÑÑоÑак 20 Ð½Ð¾Ð²ÐµÐ¼Ð±Ð°Ñ 2007, WilliamKow@yahoo.com Ñе напиÑао(ла): the the
"Local Folders" where all the downloaded emails are stored, and then I open Konconqueror to find the actual folder location, but i couldn't find it, I suspect it has been hidden and I look for the settings for Konqueror to display hidden folders, but not couldn't find.
Go to the View menu and you'll see the option "Show hidden files".
The below is the folder location for my emails
/home/williamkow/.thunderbird/kkm2p3j4.default/Mail/Local
Folders/
But I can not find it using Konqueror. please advise. Thank you.
My advice is to type in "/home/williamkow/.thunderbird" by hand into the address input box. If you decide to show hidden files in your home directory you will see ~100 hidden directories and files and you will not be able to find the .thunderbird fast enough. So, it is much better to leave the home directory with the hidden files hidden and when you do need to go to some of those hidden directories to type it into url by hand.
Cheers Filip

Thank you and sorry, I not get use to KDE, and I thought of the setting for display hidden files are in the drop-down menu "Settings" or "Tools", but it is in "View". As you suggested to allow hidden files settings, is true also to avoid confusion due to too many files. BUT, I still have a problem, where I have a folder wish to copy to the a hidden folder, and then I right-click the folder, and select "Copy To" > "Browse", then a pop-up (Select Folder-Konqueror) is displayed, and I key-in the full path (example, /home/williamkow/.thunderbird/kkm2p3j4.default/Mail/Local Folders) at the bottom and click "OK", but system will not copy the folder. Why is that so ? Please advise. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
