Hi Mikkel.
I suggest you look in Yast, System, Runlevel-editor. In here you can control startup of the different daemons and all.
How do I set the smb, or bette what runlevel should be set ?.
I guess it depends on how the rest of the system is set up. Are you using a GUI e.g. KDE ?? Is it a server running textmode only in the closet ?? Hence set SMB to start at the runlevel resembling your setup..like start SMB in runlevel 3 for a textmode only machine, or in runlevel 5 if it full GUI and stuff...(all very simple put..)
Are there a rule for setting runlevels ??.
See the above.. To my knowledge only that there have to be some sort of consistency between to what level you boot the machine when your using it, and what Daemons/services you want to have running at that level.. [snip]
Did you btw get Kmail to work (in regards to your last post) ?
Yes I did. Was just to set the name "localhost" in the host field
under Kmail
configuration. Then it worked.
Congratulations! :o)
Tak for dit svar.
