<AW> Thanks for your explanation. The problem is not only unable install from DVD but inability to detect SATA interface (seems no supported built in driver from 11.2).
<AW> I can boot and install easily version 12.2 to H61. So, it should no problem with DVD, BIOS setting, etc. I already tested to move the "full installed" 11.2 (from other Intel Z68) to H61 machine, and failed.
The above and your previous posts seem to indicate that the failure is more likely a quirk of the particular motherboard, its BIOS, and/or the H61 implementation on that motherboard.
Should I edit the menu.lst?
Without knowledge of the exact error messages and context at the failure point, or seeing device.map, fstab or menu.lst, it's impossible to speculate on whether such a simple change could help.
<AW> The question is; if 11.2 support H77 (and Z68), does the built in driver for ICH already support to H61? If not, where can I get the driver of H61?
Your reference to ICH8 appears to imply compatibility with ICH8 seems to be a component of the H61. Certainly ICH8 itself is much older than 11.2. I know I installed 11.2 on at least two ICH8 systems, and am running 11.4 to type this on an ICH8-equipped motherboard that had previously used 11.0 and then 11.2, and can still boot them both. If H61 is a problem generally, then Google should be able to find you discussion on the subject, probably on one of the kernel mailing lists if nothing else. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
