I want to make a demo video of a certain program's use. So I am looking for apps to capture what goes on. Not snapshots. More like an AVI or something.
What is the current favorite on openSUSE? Anyone using this with a multi- display setup, capturing both displays?
Thanks for any pointers.
I use RecordMyDesktop (there's a QT GUI and a GTK GUI for it, or you have just command-line it). On openSUSE, there is a long-standing annoyance with the variable bit rate which causes RecordMyDesktop to stutter terribly if you use the defaults. You need to set the v_bitrate parameter to 2000000 (either on the CLI or in the configuration file for the respective GUI you use) Extra information here: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Creating_videos C. -- openSUSE 12.3 x86_64, KDE 4.11 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
