kernel of the day kernels build from source?

Hi, I have SuSE 9.1 and I would like ot use certain kernel of the day kernels. I would like to build kernel rpms from source (as the ones that are built already are built with a different version of gcc than the one that comes with SuSE 9.1). Does anyone have a how-to about how to do this? thanks, -- Osho
