Im sorry if Im missing something obvious here, but Ive hit the wall on this. I loaded a fresh SuSE 6.4 machine and installed samba. I setup an smb.conf file (see below) and some directories to share. However, when I first boot up the Linux box, samba doesnt work properly and clients cant connect. If I log in as root and stop the smb service (/etc/rc.d/smb stop) and then start it again (/etc/rc.d/smb start) it works great. What could I be missing here? my smb.conf: [global] workgroup = stmk.com netbios name = platter interfaces = 10.0.0.10/255.255.255.0 os level = 2 security = user wins support = no [outdir] path = /shared/outdir browseable = yes public = yes writable = yes -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
