Hello,
Thanks to those who replied to my recent enquiry about SCSI controllers for Linux. I have done a bit of googling, and found a local supplier selling Tekram DC390 2UW (Symbios chipset+bootrom) at a price I can afford. It seems to have had good reviews, but it would be nice to hear from anyone actually successfully using one.
To recall I have an Asus TUSLC m/board with Intel 815 chipset.
I'm using [from dmesg] DC390: 1 adapters found scsi1 : Tekram DC390/AM53C974 V2.0f 2000-12-20 And it's working fine. I'm with a MB with 440BX chipset. -- Mads Martin Joergensen, http://mmj.dk "Why make things difficult, when it is possible to make them cryptic and totally illogic, with just a little bit more effort." -- A.
