Well, I have made some comments that were passed to me by a very good and very knowledgeable friend with a lot more Linux experience than I have. He did not have a good experiece with 10.1 and, consequently is sticking with 10.
Specific complaints and comments are find. Bug reports are even better. But general rhetoric is not welcome AFAIAC. Again, I'm saying this as primarily a Fedora Core 5 x86-64 user on my personal workstations/notebooks. I didn't find any issues other than the update system with SuSE Linux 10.1 x86-64. I'm only sticking with Fedora Core 5 because of some legacy Red Hat interfaces/capabilities, that are not any issue or lack of capability caused by SuSE. I still deploy SLES alongside RHEL (including CentOS) solutions in my professional endeavors, and that would include SL alongside FC as appropriate. -- Bryan J.
