OpenSuSE 10.3 on AMD 64 bit CPU with Firefox 3.0.6.
The Adobe Flash Player plugin is installed on the system, but Firefox can't seem to find it. The Adobe website doesn't seem to have a solution to the problem.
Assistance will really be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
It is a 32 bit plugin. You would need nspluginwrapper installed to be able to use it on a 64 bit browser. To see if it is "usable", check with nspluginwrapper -l as root. The plugin should be in /usr/lib/browser-plugins, the nspluginwrapper link would be in /usr/lib64/browser-plugins.
Thanks for the note. Here are the results: abnormal:~ # nspluginwrapper -l /usr/lib64/browser-plugins/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so Original plugin: /usr/lib/browser-plugins/libflashplayer.so Wrapper version string: 0.9.91.4 /usr/lib64/browser-plugins/npwrapper.nphelix.so Original plugin: /usr/lib/browser-plugins/nphelix.so Wrapper version string: 0.9.91.4 Apparently the plugin is where it should be, but it still isn't working.-- -- Stephen P.
