Hi Steven, I, too, have the same exact problem. I'm using a Voodoo3 2000 with a 19" Samsung 950p @ 1280x1024 - 85hz. I have yet to find a permanent solution to the problem, though I found a temporary one. I no longer get the "shadowing" when I set the resolution and refresh rate to 1024x768 and 75hz, respectively. I've never had this problem before with pervious versions of SuSE as well as other distros. So if anyone has a permanent solution for mine and Steven's problem, I would be eternally grateful. I just bought a Radeon VE with 64 Meg of RAM, and I'm having a minor problem with it. When I drag a window vertically I notice some stray horizontal lines ghosting off to the right of the window. I suspect this has to do with some kind of modeline configuration. Unfortunately my ViewSonic G810 has never allowed me to use SaX, or SaX2. I've been carrying around an XF86Config from one system to the next, using the modelines I derived so long ago I've forgotten how I figured them out.
Does someone have an XF86Config which works with a Radeon 7000 and a 21 inch monitor at 72 Hz vertical refresh rate? I would be most grateful if you would share that with me.
Thanks,
Steven
