I am putting together a networking system. The help I have received from this group has been outstanding. I now need the advice of the group on the different brands of hubs. I would appreciate the groups opinions on the following brands of hubs.
wisecom, IBM, netgear, hawking, asante, umax, linksys.
The network cards I have obtained are 10mbps cards. Does the hub have to be a 10mbps or will the cards work with a 100mbps hub? I realize that 100mbps may be overkill, but if the price is right....
Thanks in advance, Nevada
Of those you list I prefer Linksys and Netgear, I also like 3com, and Cisco always has good stuff, but you will pay for both of those. I have a little 5 port 100mbps hub from Linksys that I like alot. i got it in a kit and it's been great. The Hub can be either 10 or 100baseT both will work. -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Darren R.
