The scigraphica documentation is very poor and the user-list seems to be quite inactive. Google did not give any usable result either.
I cannot help you with scigraphica, but I would suggest you take a look at scilab. Its plot utilities are very good and the documentation is excellent. It is like MATLAB, but it is free and part of the SuSE distro. Best regards, -- Jos van Kan registered Linux user #152704
