I was wondering whether anyone had experienced similar difficulties with a 3Com 56K Professional Message Modem in SuSE 7.2.
A sample kinternet log reads:
Sending: ATDT08450888181 CONNECT 33600/ARQ Carrier detected. Waiting for prompt. [1c]`[0e]@`[0e]@`[0e]@`[0e]@`[0e]@`[0e]@`[0e]@`[0e] ... Don't know what to do! Starting pppd and hoping for the best. Starting pppd at Wed Oct 3 23:12:11 2001
I get this 3 out of 4 times when using Kinternet. If using Internet Dialler or wvdial the problem doesn't exist. Also have a look and make sure that CHAP/PAP are selected. HTH Mark A -- Mark R Annandale SuSE Linux 7.2 Pro KDE 2.2.1 KMail 1.3.1
