try booting with manual=1 Tried it but doesn't work :( When I select "Start Installation" and then select "CD-ROM" as source medium the installer tells me "Unable to mount the CD-ROM". Also, when I open up "System Information/Hard Disks or CD-ROMs" I get the message "No hard disks or CD-ROM drives have been detected so far".
That's ok, you have to load the necessary IDE modules. Just go to the module loading dialog before starting the install.
Uhm, which of those?! ;-) piix and mptspi are already loaded. Shouldn't the kernel detect which modules to load? I'm just wondering why the installation does not work with 10.1 while it did with 10.0 and even a pretty old 8.0 in a VM. -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
