So far, all we've tried was to access the device from Windows running in VMware, which led us to the whole issue about VMware USB access not working at all under openSuSE 10.2.
I think there was a how-to already posted on the list to solve that issue.
KitchenSync came up in our research, but not Kandy. I don't think he's tried either of them, yet. He's not at his desk right now, so I haven't yet got an answer about whether his Blackberry (a 7100t, if I recall correctly) has Bluetooth or not.
Thanks for the information. I'll look into KitchenSync and Kandy a bit more. We also discovered there's a Linux user's "Corner" on BlackberryForums.com (<http://www.blackberryforums.com/linux-users-corner/>).
What you need is the Blackberry Desktop Manager. Don't know if a Linux version exists, but I do know that a Mac version is available. We have a Blackberry Enterprise Server sitting in your server room, and I can scrounge up a spare Blackberry. If I have a bit of time on monday I'll try to connect to Opensuse 10.2. Windows is s no-brainer, provided you have a working usb connection. -- Sandy List replies only please!
