I've never had a problem on this list (more than 10 years) with anyone treating me badly. I've read quite a lot of conflicts, but my sense of the "general" attitude (if there is such a thing really) is that people here try to help others out. Just my 2 Cents, Gustav. Correct. There is a clique of hobbyists here who last saw a network in 1975. Politely asking them to shut up doesn't work. At first, it angered us. Now, we just filter their messages.
Yeah, OK, we're a bunch of school kids. When we came here, we knew nothing. Thanks to those who do not speak down to us, we are now able to tackle most of the problems ourselves. We have learned a lot of English and we have even been able to reply to some of the more day-at-a-time aspects of some of the threads.
An enormous thank you to those who _have_ helped us get off the ground with opensuse. There are some very knowledgeable and humble humans here. To them we owe our progress.
