Don't know, but probably. It's a significant improvement on 2.0.
and if not how much trouble is it to compile it in.
It's pretty easy as long as you understand the basics of compiling big chunks of code. You'll need some spare time though - it takes several hours even on my dual PIII machine.
Do I need anything besides Qt 2.2.2?
No, just the usual stuff like the jpeg libraries and so on. A basic, reasonably up to date SuSE machine will have all that's required.
