I assume a fresh install wipes everything out. Is there a good plan of attack for doing this without losing valuable things?
A *really* good plan of attack if you can afford the space, is to make a set of new partitions for 9.0 and leave your old ones intact. That way you can: 1) Always compare everything that was on the old system with the new one. 2) Run the old system for comparison or run it to get things done during the transition. Your idea of doing a fresh install is excellent... and you'll get rid of a lot of crap^^^^^^failed 'experiments'. And do take good notes for the next fresh install. -- +----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ + Bruce S.
