Carlos says it won't work on a 20G file system, so if that's the case there isn't any point in me trying. I can't find anything which officially says what the minimum file system size is for btrfs.
No, I did not say that.
I'm running a BtrFS (ok, its 13.2 upgrading to Tumbleweed) ...
# df / -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/mapper/vgmain-vROOT 20G 9.5G 11G 49% /
and
# mount | grep btrfs /dev/mapper/vgmain-vROOT on / type btrfs (rw,relatime,space_cache,subvolid=5,subvol=/)
Sorry, I'm getting feed up with Carlos telling us/me that something can't be done when there are people, myself for example, doing it.
because that is not what I said! I said that below certain root size YaST disables snapshotting. Not that it does not work. Of course, YaST does that for a reason: you have to be careful to erase old snapshots and make space. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 42.2 x86_64 "Malachite" (Minas Tirith))
