I'm using http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/mrbadguy:/gimp-unstable/

I cannot judge the quality of the repo Per mentioned, the one I use so far has been extremely reliable and never caused problems for me.
I tried your repository, but without luck.
It ended with this error message:
"GLib version too old (micro mismatch) GIMP requires GLib version 2.54.2 or later. Installed GLib version is 2.48.2.
Somehow you or your software packager managed to install GIMP with an older GLib version. Please upgrade to GLib version 2.54.2 or later."
Then it became really problematic. I have not been able to find GLib 2.54.2 on the Opensuse site. So what to do now?
I would not try to update glib unless for a very good reason and with a tested recovery procedure. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 42.3 x86_64 "Malachite" at Telcontar)
