[opensuse] GNOME run dialog and gnomesu

I've got two systems here running different versions of openSUSE - one with 11.0 and one with 11.1. On 11.0, I find that if I launch wireshark using the run dialog (ie, ALT- F2), it's launched using gnomesu. On 11.1, it isn't launched using gnomesu. How does the run dialog determine whether to use gnomesu or not?
