Are you only on this mailing list?
I am on many mailing lists, where people from many different countries enter their names in their own language, and my Emacs-based MUA displays them as they appear.
I have no objection to people adding somekind of salutation or signature in their own language and lettering. It adds colour :-) But perhaps you could convince your EMACS to use UTF-8, which is the default on openSUSE, anyway. That should solve any font conversion issue, too. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E.
