I set Settings -> Configure kdetv -> Sound -> Configure Mixer (OSS Mixer Plugin was selected) in SUSE 9.1: Physical Mixer: /dev/mixer Mixer device: Line and the sound in kdetv started to work. I use external cable between WinTV and Sound Blaster Live!. I didn't have to load any additional modules. -- A.M.
